A terrible accident between a tanker and a car: 6 members of the same family died

A terrible accident took place between a tanker and a car in which 6 members of the same family died on the spot near Gurmatkal in the district.

Muhammad Wajeed Hussain (39), Muhammad Mazhar Hussain (79), Noor Jahan Begum (70), Heena Begum (30), Imran (22), six-month-old baby Umeja and Muhammad Fazeel Hussain are known to be deceased.

The seriously injured driver was admitted to Jims Hospital in Kalaburagi. It is known that all the deceased are from Lingasugur Hatti in Raichur district. He had gone to a dargah near Kodangal in Telangana.

The mishap took place when Hatti was returning to the village after offering prayers at the dargah. The lorry driver fled the spot after the incident. A case has been registered at Guramithkal police station.
